Drawing and painting outdoors during the summer months could prove to be a fun, memorable, art experience. It could also be a way to meet new friends or to simply spend quality, “creative” time with those you already have! Various locations in the town of New Glasgow have been designated as “great places to paint and draw”, including Carmichael Park, the Samson Trail and several others. So grab a hat, a cool drink and a friend and join us as we paint and draw scenes around our beautiful town. Art instructor, Helen Boucher and her daughter Bronte, who is currently studying fine art, will be bringing all the supplies and organizing the weekly sessions. A showing of these local paintings will be put on display at the end of the summer. So whether you are professional or just a beginner, don’t let anything hold you back from the experience of putting pencil to paper or paint to canvas as you create your very own version of those local scenes you enjoy so much! You could proudly say as you admire that beautiful painting on the cottage wall, “I did that!”
